The role is a Senior role at country level as a direct report of the Head of RBWM. The job holder is accountable to establish, drive and manage the RBWM Mobiles Sales channel of the south region respectively.
The job holder has primary responsibility for contribution and execution of RBWM strategies to drive assets growth, acquire new to bank customer and expand profitable personal banking relationships.
Impact on the Business / Function
•Oversee the implementation of Mobile Sales activities of the assigned region to achieve the RBWM’s operating plan and transform HSBC to become a market leader in the consumer banking market.
•Execute strategic goals that are led for consumer assets targeted segments, and ensure every contact with the customer is optimized, delivering incremental value to both the client and HSBC.
•Engender a solution led sales & service culture within the channel, consistent with the delivery in accordance with agreed customer experience standards.
•Champion and drive sales and service initiatives to increase HSBC’s market share and relationships in consumer asset products. Articulate customer needs to ensure marketplace needs are met and to achieve channel business plan.
•Establish and maintain a community presence through active participation in industry associations and community organizations.
•Ensure close connection between market trends/clients needs and ultimate product/channel delivery and business strategy, driving projects in response to market changes and opportunities and in line with RBWM strategy.
Customers / Stakeholders
• Foster and develop a customer centric ethos, use customer insight to continuously enhance a seamless customer experience, increasing loyalty, advocacy and retention.
•Maintain strong communication links with key partners and stakeholders in Group, Region and Country to support the effective implementation of local strategic plan.
Leadership & Teamwork
• Lead and develop an effective & efficient Mobile Sales team that delivers a strong business performance, provides a superior customer service and a customer-driven approach.
•Foster an environment of teamwork, ensuring collaboration throughout organization.
•Direct strategic goals, in conjunction with business heads, key stakeholders and Group strategy to build a profitable and sustainable business where channels are complementary and not competing.
•Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.
•As a member of the Retail Banking and Wealth Management Committee, and other committees that may arise from time to time, represent the collective requirements, targets, plans and revenue of RBWM, Global Cards and Consumer Assets. As a member of this Committee (and others as required), the role holder will also be expected to work with their fellow Committee members to support and develop the RBWM Strategy, the Retail Banking strategy, Target Business Model and Target Operating Models as defined. As a member of this Committee and leader within the Retail Banking structure the role holder will also be required to role model the Groups values
Operational Effectiveness & Control
• Originate and support initiatives to generate income, contain costs and mitigate /reduce operational losses. Eliminate non value adding activities to ensure focus on business priorities is not deflected or diluted.
•Institute strong operational, risk and quality controls as well as improved sales productivity, with particular emphasis on the successful adoption of a wealth management risk framework and sales controls.
•Remains compliant with and ensures awareness of Audit and Group requirements, and ensures strict compliance with government banking regulations. Timely implement internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
•Five to ten years experience
•Strong leadership, managerial, strategic planning (including financial planning and management), organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, communications, analytical, interpersonal, motivational, negotiation, project management, sales and team-building skills.
•Credit training or equivalent experience.
•Strong marketing, sales, management, planning, financial, leadership, motivational, project management and communications skills.
•Thorough knowledge of the lending and credit approval process, pertinent regulations impacting retail banking activities and delivery systems and channels, including market potential.
•Understanding of the unique markets serviced.
•Strong business acumen and ability to continually make trade-off decisions and build consensus.
•Strong ability to use numerical data to develop tactical plans within the broad context of strategic plans and change them as warranted by results.
•Sound understanding of the Company’s customer segments, products offered and the competitive market.
